We like the idea of a Hollow Earth because our educated guess would suggest that the Hollow Earth Theory is not true, but this type of theory symbolizes the many things in life that we take for granted. Scientists have made hypotheses, but does anyone really know what is in the center of our planet?

John Stevenson , 2010

Miracle Phantasm, The Meditating Goof and Balance Reached 2012
"The exhibition is the culmination of six months spent in intense spiritual and physical detox. Through rituals of ascetcism - abstaining from alcohol, moving images, social obligations and career development - the artist has searched for a lifestyle in touch with ancient knowledge, fitting for contemporary needs. His work functions as a holistic therapy for a humanity in crisis, seeking to restore balance. By adapting and subverting new age capitalism this virtual spiritism aim at providing a blueprint for world healing."

Law Enforcement Slogans. 2012. Detail of vector artwork used for installation at Whitechapel Gallery for The London Open.
Installed at the Whitechapel Gallery for the London Open a randomly ordered sequence of text combining slogans with their respective law enforcement agency. Only slogans in the English language are used and none are duplicated. The two sets of text are ranged right and left to form a centred column leaving a vertical margin. The work runs from where the wall meets the ceiling down to the floor, in this case 540cm high, 274cm wide.
